It was a long time coming but they deserved a vacation and the plans that they were hoping to make that involved the Fiji islands would surely turn out to be a vacation of a lifetime. “Can we really afford this” Helen asked, knowing full well that their finances were in great shape. “You know we can” answered Walter, “but just to be sure we will be in search of any possible deals on Fiji holiday packages that are out there.”

They had searched the Internet and although there were a few options out there the one that they found to be extremely interesting was the Flight Centre. They both peered at the computer screen and realized that this was all that they needed to make their dream come true. After sifting through all the Fiji holiday packages they discovered one that was perfect for them and this is what they used as a jumping off point to set their dream vacation in motion.

The retired couple had heard many good things about Fiji and after booking their vacation they set about ensuring that their travel documents were all in order. There flight had an “on time” departure and as they boarded the aircraft they could both feel the excitement of the upcoming trip. Many of the Fiji holiday packages offered bonus features like reduced rates, a bottle of wine on arrival and a few offered a night or two for free. Walter chose one that offered free breakfast to start the days of right.

Because this was their first time in Fiji they decided that a rental car would be in order and had made arrangements to pick one up at the airport. They headed straight to the hotel where they checked in and were quick to observe that the surroundings of the hotel that they chose through the Fiji holiday packages deal would be perfect. After quickly unpacking and changing into their island clothes, they set out to begin their adventure. “Where should we go first” Walter asked?

The map that came along with the car offered several historical and informative spots to visit such as Thurston Gardens located on the south side of the island, The Fiji Museum which is located in Suva’s botanical gardens and of course Colo-i-Suva Forest Park which boasts of clear natural pools and 6.5 km of walking trails for the adventure seeker. After deciding that the latter sounded like a good time, they set out to Forest Park where they spent an enjoyable first day on Fiji.

Every day of Helen and Walter’s vacation was chocked full of some new adventure and the nights were just as good. If they were not at some gorgeous sight they were dining at a restaurant enjoying the local food. When the last day came and they tried to rate their experience they both agreed that had it not been for the great deal on the Fiji holiday packages they may not have been able to accomplish so much and yes, they will be back!
