Brighton is an amazing seaside town which has many attractions and fun things to do to keep you entertained all summer long. Brighton is full of artists, musicians, poets, writers, photographers, activists, hippies, punks, rockers, vegetarians, vegans, and bohemians of all kinds so there is always something unique and creative going on in the city!

This year we see the amazing ‘Lady boys of Bangkok’ return to Brighton’s Pavilion gardens, with all their usual style, flare and extravagance that have wowed audiences time and time again. The show includes the whole cast performing such classics from ABBA, Tina Turner, The Spice Girls, The Weather Girls, S Club 7 and of course the legendary Lady Gaga, all with their own special ‘Lady boys of Bangkok’ touch.  Tickets are priced around £8-10 depending on which night you go, and you can also get group tickets at cheaper rates, which makes for savings all around! The ‘Lady boys of Bangkok’ are also available for hen nights and stag do’s, so if you were wanting a party with something out of the ordinary, this company would be the one to book!

As well as having long stretches of beautiful pebble strewn beaches, Brighton is also home to so much architectural beauty with its most famous attraction ‘The Royal Pavilion’. The Royal Pavilion is a stunning example of late 17th century architecture, with obvious influences from the Middle East with its amazing domes and decorative towers. It was built between 1787 and 1823 for King George IV as a leisure holiday home, and his wealth really shows. You will be in total awe of this spectacular building that is magnificent both inside and out. The Royal Pavilion also holds many interesting and exciting exhibitions, upcoming events in 2011 are the World war one gallery, Lost Egypt and Brighton’s Art Festival. The Royal Pavilion also hosts many weddings and civil ceremonies, and you are welcome to relax in its beautiful gardens on hot sunny days with the rest of the locals and tourists.

Gay Pride is obviously always a massive event in Brighton and attracts lots of people from all over the UK who wish to join the festivities and show their love, support and tolerance for the global gay community. The first week of August is when the ‘Pride Summer Festival’ celebrations begin, with events, parties and gigs happening all over the city in support of Gay Pride. The week comes to a high point with the Annual Gay Pride Parade, that sees local business, groups, pubs and local people march through all the way through Brighton to the sea front. The procession starts at midday and is full of amazing colourful floats, exotic dancers, circus performers, musicians, samba bands, posters and banners all supporting gay rights and of course a massive party at the end that engulfs the whole town!

Brighton is one to the UK’s top holiday destination and will guarantee you a fantastic break, no matter what your tastes.
