A Different Vacation Destination

Don’t be surprised if your friends look at you a little strangely when you tell them about the Minnesota vacations you have been considering this year. In fact, they may think you have lost your mind, especially if they are the type who think a vacation means lounging by the pool in some far away resort. What they may not know is that you can do the same thing, plus a whole lot more in Minnesota without spending a fortune.

Minnesota attracts more people than anyone realizes for both summer and winter vacation fun. The air is so fresh and clean no matter what season you choose to visit, and the number of activities are limitless year round. Summer means fishing, hiking, exploring, golfing, swimming, horseback riding and more. Shopping expeditions must include a visit to the Mall of America in both summer and winter.

Wintertime has a number of fun outdoor activities to participate in. Downhill and cross country skiing are particular favorites, and there are lots of mountains and wide open spaces to do either one. Snowmobile trails are plentiful and well cared for, and you can go for miles. Skating, sledding, hockey, and of course, ice fishing are fun for the whole family. It does a body good to get out in the crisp winter air for fun and exercise.

No matter what season it is, there are lots of places of interest to visit. You can head off to the famous Minnesota zoo, include the Science Museum in your tour, and visit the Metrodome and perhaps catch the Vikings in a home football game, or the Twins at practice. There are a lot of resorts in Minnesota that stay open all year round to accommodate visitors any time of the year, so locating a pleasant place to stay will never be a problem.

See a travel agent about all the great things that can be found to see and do in Minnesota year round. Many vacations can be arranged that will include special discounts, reduced pricing for groups, or family packages that are all inclusive. The only thing you have to do is pack, arrive, and have a holiday that includes all the adventure you can handle. Maybe it is time to get away from the same old vacation destination and go somewhere completely different. You don’t need a passport to get to Minnesota if you live in the states, and that’s not something you can say about traveling to a tropical location. Have a good time in this great, welcoming state.
